General Hospital Early Spoilers: Valentin Targeted, Nina Warned, Curtis Heads to Pentonville and Sidwell’s Assets Hit the Auction Block
General Hospital is preparing for another action-packed week in Port Charles, and the first spoilers for August 24–28 suggest serious complications ahead for Valentin Cassadine, Nina Reeves, Curtis Ashford, and several members of the Quartermaine family.
Before that new week officially gets underway, however, the final episodes of the current week are already putting several dangerous storylines into motion.
Nina Confronts Drew — and Receives a Major Warning
On Wednesday, Nina Reeves finds herself in yet another tense exchange with Drew. Their latest clash may once again revolve around Willow, particularly because Drew seems determined to strike back at anyone he believes has betrayed, manipulated, or hurt him.
Later, Nina seeks out Jack, who has already experienced a heated confrontation of his own with Drew. Jack cautions Nina that she may need to step away before her involvement in Willow’s situation creates consequences that are far more serious than she expects.
Whether Nina is willing to take that advice remains to be seen.
Drew, meanwhile, has an unexpected conversation with Ava at the Metro Court. Something he reveals leaves her surprised, but the real bombshell comes when Drew floats the idea that the two of them might join forces in an effort to take Sonny down.
If that partnership actually develops, it could become extremely dangerous for everyone involved.
Over at the Quartermaine gatehouse, Willow also delivers what sounds very much like a warning, suggesting that someone involved in the current conflict may not escape the situation nearly as easily as they believe.
Could Someone Be Following Trina?
Kai begins to feel increasingly uneasy after signs suggest that Trina may have attracted the attention of a mysterious observer.
Someone appeared to be watching her at the Surf Lodge, immediately sparking questions about who this unidentified person might be and what they want from her. One possibility is that the stranger could somehow be tied to Kai, although viewers will have to wait and see whether he manages to identify the person who may be stalking Trina.
Elsewhere in Port Charles, Jordan receives an offer that could have something to do with Curtis as he prepares to begin serving his upcoming prison sentence.
Curtis may attempt to release Jordan from any promise or expectation that she should wait for him, but the strength of the emotional connection between them suggests she may have no intention of simply walking away.
Lulu Goes After Valentin
Thursday brings a major confrontation when Lulu unleashes her anger on Valentin.
Their argument is expected to center on Charlotte, and Valentin’s reported desire to reclaim Wyndemere may also become a major part of the disagreement. If Valentin truly intends to purchase the estate and move back there with Charlotte, Lulu may have serious concerns about the effect that decision could have on her daughter.
Valentin is expected to become an even more important player during the week of August 24 as he begins making aggressive financial moves.
At the same time, Anna introduces Josslyn to Tristan. Since Tristan has connections to the WSB, their introduction could potentially carry professional consequences — but the meeting may also create the possibility of a new romantic storyline.
Dante and Elizabeth Continue Growing Closer
Another developing relationship is beginning to create significant tension throughout Port Charles.
Dante and Elizabeth share a private dinner together and seem increasingly relaxed and comfortable in each other’s company. Their deepening bond does not go unnoticed by the people around them.
Rick is reportedly headed for an emotional spiral after noticing signs that Elizabeth may be moving closer to Dante. He eventually approaches Lulu and suggests that the two of them may actually be dealing with the same problem.
According to Rick, unless they decide to interfere, they may both lose the people they still care about.
That warning could push Rick and Lulu toward a dangerous plan of their own — one that could easily produce consequences neither of them sees coming.
Sonny Visits Sidwell
Friday puts Sonny Corinthos directly across from Sidwell at Pentonville.
Their meeting is expected to be anything but friendly, and Sonny may take a certain amount of satisfaction in seeing one of his enemies sitting behind bars. Still, incarceration may not be enough to completely remove Sidwell’s influence.
His financial empire is about to suffer another devastating setback as well.
During the week of August 24–28, Sidwell’s assets are reportedly headed to auction, creating the possibility of a major bidding battle involving Valentin, Sonny, and Drew.
Valentin may use the opportunity to try to regain control of Wyndemere while also pursuing other valuable properties and holdings connected to Sidwell.
With several powerful men competing for the same pieces of Sidwell’s empire, the auction could quickly become about much more than simply buying property.
Curtis Discovers a Terrifying Cellmate
Curtis is also preparing to begin serving his sentence at Pentonville.
Being separated from Jordan will already be emotionally difficult, but his circumstances may become dramatically more dangerous once he discovers who has been assigned to share his cell.
Sidwell.
That shocking development could immediately put Curtis in an extremely vulnerable position.
Sidwell is well aware that Jordan was secretly working against him, which means Curtis may become the ideal person to use as revenge. If Sidwell decides the best way to hurt Jordan is by targeting the man she loves, Curtis’s stay in prison could turn out to be much more dangerous than anyone originally anticipated.
Jordan, meanwhile, may struggle to cope emotionally with Curtis being incarcerated and could direct some of her frustration toward Portia and Isaiah over the chain of events that ultimately landed him there.
Joe and Lucas Edge Closer to Romance
Fortunately, not every storyline developing in Port Charles appears destined to end in disaster.
Joe and Lucas continue becoming closer, while an unexpected problem involving an apartment gives the two men yet another reason to spend more time around each other. Lucas has already arranged for a winter rental, but Joe is apparently interested in obtaining that same property.
What initially seems like an uncomfortable complication could actually create the perfect opportunity for their relationship to move forward.
Britt and Ava are also expected to support Lucas while he gets settled into his new home, and the continuing hints surrounding Lucas and Joe suggest their connection may soon develop into something genuinely romantic.
Anna’s Actions Become More Alarming
Anna’s current storyline could soon head into particularly disturbing territory.
She appears to be responding to what she believes are instructions coming from Peter’s ghost, and those visions could ultimately drive her toward a horrifying decision concerning Britt.
If Anna truly begins considering or planning Britt’s death, the storyline could rapidly become one of the darkest and most dangerous situations currently unfolding in Port Charles.
Jason, meanwhile, continues trying to rebuild his life. With much of the mob drama increasingly behind him, he is reconnecting with Danny, spending more meaningful time with his family, and continuing to move forward romantically with Britt.
Those developments only make Anna’s apparent fixation more dangerous.
Carly Continues Pulling Strings
Carly remains determined to have a major influence over what happens next in the lives of Josslyn and JJ.
She is reportedly continuing to make plans alongside Hudson while Michael assists Josslyn in searching for someone capable of taking over leadership of the company. At the same time, Jack’s attempts to obtain information about JJ through Alexis could create even more complications for Carly’s strategy.
Hudson also seems increasingly convinced that Phoebe could actually be his biological daughter.
He suspects that Ethan may have falsely claimed to be her father before signing away parental rights. If Hudson manages to uncover evidence that supports his theory, he could decide to challenge Phoebe’s adoption and pursue custody.
Should that happen, Port Charles could soon find itself dealing with another explosive family conflict.
Brooklyn’s Secret Becomes More Difficult to Protect
Brooklyn is also keeping a secret that could completely destroy the trust between her and Chase.
She is already uncomfortable with Willow returning to the Quartermaine estate and spending time near Chase, but her jealousy may soon become a much smaller concern compared with what she is hiding.
Brooklyn is concealing the possibility that she was actually the other driver involved in Jordan’s crash — the same incident for which Willow was framed.
In Port Charles, secrets of that magnitude almost never remain hidden forever.
Once the truth eventually comes out, Chase may be forced to question not only Brooklyn’s actions, but whether he can trust anything she has told him.
Port Charles Prepares for an Explosive New Week
With Valentin making aggressive moves, Sidwell watching his assets disappear, Curtis beginning his time at Pentonville, Nina being warned to step back, and multiple romantic relationships growing increasingly complicated, the week of August 24–28 appears ready to deliver several major turning points.
Perhaps the greatest danger is that so many people currently believe they are still in control of what happens next.
Valentin believes he can recover everything that was taken from him. Drew thinks he can bring Sonny down. Carly is convinced she can determine the direction of Josslyn’s future. Brooklyn believes she can continue keeping her devastating secret buried.
And Sidwell may be counting on the idea that even from behind prison walls, he still has enough power to make his enemies suffer.
On General Hospital, assumptions like those almost never lead anywhere good.
