General Hospital Early Weekly Spoilers: Drew Erases His Trail, Ava’s Scheme Backfires and Alexis Issues a Dangerous Warning

General Hospital is preparing for another tense and dangerous week in Port Charles, and the early spoilers for August 31 through September 4 indicate that several residents may soon discover just how expensive their hidden secrets can become.

Drew Cain is desperately trying to eliminate evidence that might expose him, Ava Jerome agrees to participate in a dangerous plot involving Jack Brennan, Alexis Davis seems prepared to issue a serious threat to Willow, and Sonny Corinthos once again finds himself confronting regrets tied to his complicated past.

Meanwhile, Curtis encounters a frightening new threat while behind bars, Josslyn refuses to let Carly control her decisions, and Anna may be stepping even deeper into a risky situation connected to Britt.

Here is what viewers may see unfold.

Drew rushes to eliminate the evidence against him

Drew’s circumstances are becoming more desperate by the day.

He realizes Brennan possesses damaging information that could eventually be used to bring him down, and rather than retreating, Drew appears willing to cross even more dangerous lines to make sure the evidence vanishes.

His strategy reportedly requires gaining access to Brennan’s hotel room.

However, Drew cannot simply walk through the door while Jack is fully alert and keeping a close eye on him.

That is where Ava becomes essential.

Drew reportedly asks Ava to distract Brennan long enough for him to search the room, and their plan may even involve secretly putting something into Jack’s drink.

For Ava, that request creates an entirely new level of danger.

She initially made a deal with Drew because she wanted assistance in her fight against Sonny. Now, however, Drew is expecting her to take increasingly severe risks to protect his own interests.

If Brennan realizes someone has drugged him, Ava could suddenly find herself caught between two extremely dangerous men.

And if Nina learns that Ava has been assisting Drew—someone Nina deeply despises—their friendship may suffer consequences that cannot easily be repaired.

Ava’s scheme could explode in her face

By Friday, Ava is expected to have everything in place for her trap.

The biggest question is whether the plan will actually succeed.

Brennan is far from an easy target. His intelligence experience has trained him to detect unusual behavior, and he may quickly recognize that someone has interfered with his drink.

If that happens, Ava could be forced to talk her way through an explosive and potentially dangerous confrontation.

She certainly knows how to lie when the pressure is intense, but Jack may not be willing to believe whatever explanation she gives him.

At the same time, Drew will be racing against the clock as he searches for whatever incriminating material Brennan possesses.

A single unexpected interruption could destroy the entire plan.

And if Jack discovers Drew inside his room, the fallout could become much more serious than ordinary blackmail.

Alexis receives a disturbing warning about Willow

Alexis also becomes directly involved in the growing disaster surrounding Drew and Willow.

Kai is expected to pay her a visit and present a deeply troubling theory.

He believes Willow may have attempted to kill Drew once again.

Kai’s suspicions seem to be based partly on Drew’s recent behavior and the possibility that Drew has regained more control over his body than he has admitted. Kai may explain that Drew was capable of communicating through subtle movements and appeared determined to keep that improvement hidden from Willow.

However, Kai may take his suspicions even further by suggesting that Willow was responsible for pushing Drew into the lake.

That particular claim appears doubtful because Willow reportedly was not even present when the incident occurred.

Still, Kai’s warning may be enough to convince Alexis that she needs to confront Willow directly.

Alexis threatens Willow

The showdown between Alexis and Willow could easily become one of the most dramatic moments of the week.

Alexis appears ready to tell Willow that she knows—or at least strongly believes—that Willow was the person who shot Drew.

She may even warn Willow that she is no longer willing to protect her.

Although Willow may not be able to face another simple criminal prosecution based on the exact same allegations, the information could still cause enormous damage in several other areas of her life.

It could influence future custody proceedings.

It could seriously undermine Willow’s credibility.

And if Willow provided false or misleading statements while under oath, Alexis may discover another legal strategy she can use against her.

There is also a chance that Alexis could attempt to use Willow’s secret as bargaining power.

One possible scenario could involve Alexis demanding that Willow pressure Drew into dropping his restraining orders or ending some of his other legal attacks in exchange for Alexis keeping quiet.

If that happens, Alexis could very quickly find herself crossing into morally questionable territory.

Willow’s recording of Brennan creates another crisis

Willow is already in possession of another potentially devastating weapon.

She reportedly recorded a conversation with Brennan during which he admitted to manipulating evidence or using WSB resources in an effort to help her.

Nina is expected to become furious when she discovers what Willow has done.

She may insist that Willow delete the recording as soon as possible.

Willow, however, seems reluctant to surrender such valuable leverage before she gets exactly what she wants.

Her primary target may ultimately be Michael.

That places Willow in an increasingly dangerous position.

Every move she makes to protect herself seems to produce another secret, another enemy or another possible legal problem.

Sonny’s old guilt returns

Sonny will also have an emotional conversation with Michael.

At some point, Sonny reportedly tells his son that there is something he will regret for the remainder of his life.

There are several painful events from their shared history that could explain such a statement.

Sonny may be referring to Michael suffering devastating injuries during the penthouse explosion.

He may also be thinking about earlier violence and the long-term consequences of choices he made while Michael was still young.

Whatever Sonny is referring to, his unresolved guilt seems likely to become important once again.

Later in the week, Sonny also makes Laura a promise, possibly connected to her family crisis and her plans involving Kevin and Ace.

Josslyn tells Carly to stop interfering

Josslyn is another character who is becoming increasingly frustrated with family interference.

She reportedly tells Carly that she needs to accept her decision and stop trying to control her life.

Their confrontation may be connected to Josslyn’s plans involving J.J., although Carly probably does not understand the full situation.

If Josslyn is secretly following WSB instructions, she may have no choice but to conceal the real reason behind the decisions she is making.

That secrecy could make Carly even more suspicious.

Josslyn may believe that hiding the truth is the best way to protect her mother, but in Port Charles, secrets like that rarely remain hidden for very long.

Curtis comes face-to-face with Sidwell in prison

Curtis is about to encounter an even more immediate and frightening threat.

While sitting inside his prison cell, he is shocked to discover that Sidwell is nearby.

That discovery could signal extremely bad news.

Sidwell may view Curtis as an ideal target for revenge, particularly after everything involving Jordan and her recent decisions.

He could make Curtis’ time in prison unbearable, threaten him physically or even attempt to interfere with his chances of eventually receiving parole.

Curtis undoubtedly expected prison to be difficult.

What he probably did not expect was to discover that one of his most dangerous enemies would already be waiting for him inside.

Anna may be going after Britt

Anna’s storyline continues to grow darker and more disturbing.

She may soon shift her focus toward Britt, either while acting under Peter’s influence or while secretly pursuing another hidden objective.

If Anna really intends to target Britt, anyone attempting to protect Britt could become a target as well.

That could potentially place both Jason and Liesl in serious danger.

The entire situation becomes even more complicated because Anna continues to publicly behave as though she is supportive of the people around her.

The longer she maintains that convincing appearance, the more difficult it may become for anyone to realize what she is actually planning.

Rick struggles with jealousy once again

Rick continues to battle his emotions surrounding Elizabeth and Dante.

Lulu recently managed to calm him down, but his jealous feelings are unlikely to disappear so easily.

Another unexpected trigger could cause Rick to say something he will later wish he could take back.

If he directs his frustration toward Elizabeth, his efforts to regain control of the situation may instead drive her even farther away from him.

Even more trouble is coming to Port Charles

The week of August 31 appears to be filled with dangerous schemes, shocking discoveries and emotional consequences.

Drew is putting everything on the line to erase incriminating evidence.

Ava is placing herself directly in Brennan’s path.

Alexis is preparing for a serious confrontation with Willow.

Curtis may suddenly find himself trapped alongside Sidwell.

And Sonny is once again being forced to face the consequences of decisions he made years ago.

Meanwhile, possible romantic chemistry may begin developing between Lucas and Detective Joe, while other ongoing stories—including Trina’s mysterious stalker and the battle surrounding Sidwell’s assets—continue moving steadily toward major confrontations.

In Port Charles, nearly everyone seems to be hiding something.

The only question is which secret will finally explode first.
